April 12, 2010 Quite the inspiration
We just received some more great news about Mi Tho! She is now heading home after a successful cleft pallet surgery. It has been a long journey for her and Peter (our staff who watched over her all the way). The surgery was so successful it was written up in a Taiwan publication. The hospital decided to wait on the surgery on her skull till she was full grown. But the major health, eating, and speaking issues have been resolved by the cleft pallet surgery. As you can see Mi Tho can smile…what a HUGE BLESSING. When Mi Tho returns to Myanmar our staff will care for her till she is finished with recovering. I will keep you informed.
